The Treatments

Update 8-17-17: – 5 Days of DASH work was accomplished in June of 2017.  Pesticide treatment will be applied in September per this recently updated infestation map (View Map Here).  The cost of the pesticide treatment will be as high as $32,903.71, and Diver Harvesting (DASH) is up to $8,190.  We have a quote for treatment from Solitude Lake Management (view quote here). The State of NH matching grant participation is 30% this year (was 40% last year), so $9,870 for pesticide and $2,454 for divers.

Update 7-5-17: DES was in to survey river in early June, but with the high water they did not see any evidence of the Milfoil.  They returned in mid June, but with the low water, were unable to launch their boat.  They finally surveyed in late June, and found a smaller amount of milfoil than expected (view updated infestation map here).  Accordingly, they instructed us to use the DASH Divers first this year.  Divers spent 5 days on the lake the week of 6/26/2017. They cleaned what they could, and reported it was larger patches than the DES survey indicated (view report here). DES says they will survey again in late July, and if DASH Diver harvesting was not enough, we will plan to chemical treat in September.
